Wow! Short weeks seemed to be busier than our usual five day week! We began practicing our subtraction facts for Rocketship Math this week. We will be taking our Oceans and Continents test on Friday and we took our quiz over nutrition today. I have not graded the tests, but after looking over them briefly, it looks like everyone did well! Don't forget the Spelling Test and Reading Quiz tomorrow and dictation sentences on Friday! Whew! Busy!
In our regular Math class we are working on double digit addition with regrouping, and in Language we are working on writing good sentences using the 4 types of sentences. We have learned some big names for the 4 types of sentences: declarative for a statement, interrogative for a question, imperative for a command, exclamatory for an exclamation sentence. See if your child remembers these words!
