Congratulations to Oliver for being our orange card winner this week! We are so proud of you!
This week is going to be busy, but fun! On Tuesday, we will be having an assembly called "Illusion Makers." On Friday, we will be celebrating Halloween and our Harvest Festival by attending a party sponsored by PTO and having our own party in our classroom. And don't forget, students may dress up in school appropriate costumes during the day as well. Friday promises to be a fun filled day!
This week, we will begin a new chapter in Science on animal babies and animal life cycles. Social Studies will also begin a new chapter focusing on geography and the study of land formations. We will continue to work on estimating, rounding and making sure we have a reasonable answer in Math. Reading will bring focus to drawing conclusions, antonyms, synonyms, important and unimportant information and using resources. We are close to finishing our second unit in Reading which means a unit test will be just around the corner! In Language, we are still working on writing good paragraphs and will begin our first essay writing project very soon!
Enjoy this beautiful weather while it lasts! We have been blessed with a beautiful fall this year!
