Congratulations to Ella and Colton...our Tiger Card winners of the week! Congratulations to Makenzie for being our "Good News" winner this week. Her name will be displayed on the sign in front of East Prairie. What an honor!
Also, congratulations to all of the third and fourth grade students on a fabulous Christmas program last Thursday night! The students did a wonderful job! This was one of my favorite concerts so far!
We are working on elapsed time and schedules in Math. We are getting so much better at telling time on an analog log. I am very proud of the student's progress in this area.
We will be reading a play this week in Reading and reviewing story elements and multiple meanings.
In Science, we continue our study of habitats and the food chain.
We started studying Native Americans in Social Studies this week. The students are very interested in this topic and want to learn all they can about the Native Americans!
We are beginning the process of learning how to plan and write a 5 paragraph essay. From here on out, the students will be learning how to use writing to express their thoughts and ideas, display evidence from the text, and prove or disprove statements.
Finally, a note was sent home this week regarding the Christmas gift exchange. Please send in a $5 gift by Tuesday, December 17 in to assure that all students will have a gift for our party on Thursday, December 19!
