Congratulations to Marissa for being our orange card winner of the week! Great job!
We will be holding Parent/Teacher conferences at the end of this week. I am looking forward to discussing your child's progress with you!
This week we will be returning to estimating and rounding in Math, in Social Studies we will begin a new chapter discussing landforms and geography, and in English we will begin perfecting our paragraph writing skills. In Reading, we will be sorting important and non-important information in non-fiction text and reviewing drawing conclusions and context clues. We will have our first unit test in Science over Chapter 1 on Wednesday. Our Spelling test will be on Thursday of this week due to no school on Friday for Parent/Teacher conferences.
We had a blast with our Pumpkin Math Pumpkin Science on Friday! The kids were very organized and neat and most were able to carve their pumpkins after participating in the stations and counting the seeds. This week we will check out our hypothesis to see if we proved or disproved them. Check out our pictures of our Pumpkin Project on the home page!
Please make sure you are checking the student planner to make sure your child has his/her homework completed our in their homework folder. Have a great week!
