I am loving the warmer weather! It sure helps to brighten the day with warmer temperatures and the beautiful sunshine!
The students were such hard workers for the PARCC test this week! I am so proud of their effort and the fact that they rose to the occasion and put their best foot forward. I am very pleased in the amount of effort I have witnessed. You should be very proud of your children. (:
Congratulations to Hailey and Wyatt for being the Golden Paw winners this week! Also, congratulations to Nate for being our orange card winner this week!
We will finish up the PARCC testing this week with the two sessions in Math. These will take place on Monday and Tuesday.
We will be finishing up our unit on the Navajo Indians in Social Studies and I will be assigning a project to complete that unit.
We will also be finishing up our Science unit on Changing Environments and will be having a test on Wednesday.
In Language we are discussing plural nouns, possessive nouns , and abstract nouns. In Reading we are learning fact from opinion and learning how to anayze a newspaper article.
Math will bring the study of fractions. Please continue to practice the multiplication and division facts as we are at the point of memorizing them now!
Our PBIS party will be held on Friday for those that do not have any pink slips or late work. It will be a beach themed party, so the students are welcome to wear beached themed attire!
Can't believe we are into the 4th nine weeks! Hold on to your hats, as things are going to move fast from now until the end of the school year!
Have a great week!
