Another week closer to the end of the year! Oh, my! Will we get it all done? (:
Congratulations to Mason for being our orange card winner of the week! Great job on making good choices, Mason!
The students did a wonderful job on their biographies this week! I video taped each student, so if you would like me to send you the video via email, please send me an email or jot me a note and I will be glad to email the video to you! I will be posting the pictures on this website of the students in their costumes later this weekend.
We are continuing the study of decimals in Math, immigration and Ellis Island in Social Studies, and the Solar System, moon and planets in Science. We starting reading Chocolate Fever in Reading, and the students love it! They are so excited about reading the book, they have asked to read ahead! One of the assignments was to make a menu of a restaurant where each menu item had some form of chocolate in it, and boy were they creative! Let's just say that I will not be ordering some of the items listed on their menu!
We will begin Spelling again this coming week, but we are finished with the dictation sentences. We will still have the spelling words and skill work test on Thursdays.
Please remember to check the Coming Attractions page to see the schedule of tests and projects for the coming week!
